The Different Skies Countdown Widget provides a countdown to the concert presented at the end of the week of the Different Skies space music festival at Arcosanti, AZ.

Different Skies is an electronic music festival that is held each year at Arcosanti. Musicians fron around the world gather for a week, presenting a concert of the music composed that week on Saturday.

This countdown widget marks the start of the concert; please see the Arcosanti web site for details on the concert evening and how to get there.

The widget includes a link to stillstream.com; you can listen to streaming audio from the stage - each night, the musicians improvise for several hours after practice is over (usually from around 7 to 10 PM MST).

The concert and any after-concert improvisation will be broadcast as well via stillstream.com, but we encourage you to come out if you can. It's not often that you'll get to see music being created on the spot by such a talented set of players.

Installation:

Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger is required.

If you're using Safari with automatic opening of downloads turned on:

• Click the download link.
• When the widget download is complete, Show Dashboard.
• Click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar.
• Click the widget's icon in the Widget Bar to open it.

 If you're using a browser other than Safari, or you have automatic opening of downloads off (good for you!):

• Click the download link.
• When the widget download is complete, unarchive it and place it in /Library/Widgets/ in your home folder.
• Show Dashboard.
• Click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar.
• Click the widget's icon in the Widget Bar to open it .
